Standing on a wall so tall
Protecting us all from a mighty fall
Giving up their last breaths
Their dedication never rest
The veil of the night  we never knew
has kept me from you
The military saved what was right
The flag is still standing there that's right
Colors of every son, mothers
fathers, and daughters
still runs
Thank them for all your rights
You're in bed and they still fight
Honor those who walk today
Your  children  run and play
Some are silent and never talk
The scars are deep the battles fought
Pray to God on this day to save
Soldiers and let them walk away
  May peace find those who knew
